Last week, we had a Ghanaian Police Officer demonstrating to children how to disarm a kidnapper (refer to previous video). Few days ago, I was tagged on a Chinese video where teachers were teaching children how to prevent an abductor from taking them (look out for it on wednesday)
Parents, teachers, school owners, religious leaders, are you teaching our children how to stay safe? Recently, I was informed of the case of a grandfather impregnating his grand daughter. It’s time we all got up. The formative years is the best time to equip children. No, we are not praying for anything bad to happen but equip them so that IF it does happen, they can act. We all need to work together to achieve this most especially at the places our children spend more time: home, school, place of worship.
- Teach them how to avoid molestation, abduction, falls, fire and other child related safety incidents.
