The Minimum Standards for Safe Schools document targets the basic and senior secondary education levels operating as either private or public schools as well as the non-formal sector in Nigeria. The document prescribes the most basic standards that schools and learning centres must have to be declared safe for teaching and learning. It is a comprehensive tool that highlights all school safety approaches focused on prevention, in-tervention, and response to issues of safety, security, and violence within and around schools.
